Jason Leizert is a globally renowned chef with over 20 years of experience, bringing a wealth of culinary knowledge and passion to the Social House. His impressive journey through the kitchens of Michelin-starred restaurants and innovative dining establishments worldwide has crafted a unique style that combines global inspiration with a commitment to local ingredients.

Jason has worked in some of the most celebrated restaurants in Canada, the UK, and beyond. Early in his career, Jason trained at Le Trompette in London, a Michelin-starred restaurant where he honed his expertise in classic French cuisine. His role there as Chef de Partie introduced him to the high standards of Michelin-level dining and refined his skills in everything from pastry to saucier work. Jason continued to develop his pastry techniques at Lindsay House in London, another Michelin-starred establishment, where he embraced the precision and artistry of pastry creation as the Assistant Pastry Chef.

Upon returning to Canada, Jason made a name for himself in some of the country's top restaurants. As Executive Chef at The Corner Suite Bistro De Luxe in Vancouver, he was awarded ‘Best New Restaurant Bar in Canada’ by Food & Wine Magazine for his French-inspired dishes. His commitment to locally sourced ingredients and creating memorable guest experiences established him as a respected figure in Vancouver’s culinary scene. Following his success there, Jason opened Salted Brick in Kelowna, British Columbia, a restaurant that quickly became known for its innovative charcuterie program and farm-to-table ethos. As both owner and executive chef, he oversaw every detail, from menu development to digital marketing, creating an award-winning establishment beloved by locals and visitors alike.

Jason’s experience also includes his role as Executive Chef with Mark Brand Inc. in Vancouver, where he managed multiple restaurant locations and a butcher shop. His ability to lead diverse culinary teams and develop unique, market-driven menus has been a hallmark of his success, as he continually adapted to evolving dining trends and guest expectations. Most recently, Jason was Executive Chef at Basecamp Resorts in Canmore, Alberta, where he built a brand-new hotel restaurant, implemented inventive menus and established a high-quality room service and café experience for guests seeking elevated cuisine in a mountain setting.
